GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTATIONS

Power point presentation with the latest version of Windows will be supplied in presentation rooms.
The speakers are kindly requested to bring their presentation data within a CD, DVD, USB Memory sticks and USB hard drives. In case of presenting a video film that needs a special code, we kindly request to be informed about the code. The speakers who are going to present through Macintosh systems are kindly requested to bring their own computers. In case of requesting a special device other than the equipment mentioned above, we will be pleased to be informed.

The Scientific Committee will endeavor to schedule abstracts according to author's preferences, but reserves the right to decide on the final form of presentation.
Only abstract of authors who have paid their registration fees by 2nd June 2008 will be scheduled for presentations and included in the Book of Abstracts.

Poster Submission Guidelines
The posters will be 95 cm (width) and max 240 cm (height) and will be mounted vertically. (Double - sized tape will be available for mounting the Posters at the registration desk). Please notice that no other materials are admitted for mounting the Posters to avoid damaging of the panel surfaces.
Presentation time: 8 min.

 

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACTS

Abstracts submission deadline: August 15th, 2010

Abstracts should be submitted in English 
No abstracts will be accepted unless the presenting author is registered to the Conference.

Single line spacing mandatory Obligatory font: Times (9pt) upright.
The title should be in bold print 10 pt, flush with the left margin and should clearly reflect the information included in the abstract.
Titles should not be more than 60 characters.

The authors' names have to be in a new line. First name and surname should be in bold print 9 pt followed by the affiliations (new line), which should be in Times 9 pt.

No university degrees or appointments should be included.
Underline the name of the presenting author.
Text: leave a blank line before beginning the text, 9pt Times upright.

The text should be structured in the following sections and include the following information:
Objectives: the primary purpose of the article
Methods: data sources and study selection
Results: methods of data synthesis and key findings
Conclusions: including potential and research needs

The abstract text should not exceed 1.500 characters (which equals 250 words).
References are not permitted. Papers must be written in standard and grammatical English and should present new results as well as be of scientific value.
Papers should be written in clear and simple language avoiding repetition. Papers must be in their final form so as to exclude the need for corrections in proof.

Tables: are not required Figures & halftone illustrations are not permitted.
Abstracts will not be edited.
Abstracts not conforming to the required format will be rejected.
Information provided by abstracts must be concise and conclusive.
Vague statements (e.g.: "our results will be presented", "we investigated 20 cases of XX".) will lead to rejection.
All accepted abstracts will be printed as received.
The Organization Committee takes no responsibility for content or typographical errors.
Authors can suggest posters or free paper presentation.
Scientific committee will evaluate all received abstracts and divide them into section of oral presentations and posters.
Most interesting posters will be oraly presented.
  A confirmation letter will be mailed to the first author's address after the deadline date. If an immediate guarantee of receipt is required, online services should be used.

Organizing committe

All the participants should wear the badges for both attending the lectures and/or visiting the exhibition.

The admittance to not registered persons will not be allowed.

The Medical Chamber will value active participants with 20 points, and other with 15 points.

Official Course Language
The official language of the Course is English

Commercial exhibition
An exhibition of medical equipment will be organized in the Hotel Sheraton, where all activities of the Course will take place.
